A Dental Clinic is one of the places where cross-infection may happen. We concern ourselves with the disinfection and sterilization more than anyone else, because a sanitized, clean area is not only a protection for the general public but ourselves as well.

Prevention is the best protection method to combat disease and infection in the dental facility. Proper sanitation habits, effective sterilization, and careful handling are primary ways to obtain sanitary conditions.

Qualified Operators

Above the Standards of Regulation

 ① Sterilized dental instruments are ready for each patient; once used, the instruments are immediately sterilized (or disinfected). Universal precaution is taken – assuming all patients are infectious – and applying every method of combating disease and infection.
        ② All critical instruments are to be sterilized.
        ③ All semi-critical instruments are to be sterilized. (According to Regulation for disinfection and sterilization technique of dental instruments, high level disinfection is appropriate if heat/pressure/chemical is not feasible.)
        ④ Noncritical instruments are to be disinfected.

Strict Sterilization Protocol

 ① After use (or exposure), instruments are to be classified first.
        ② The classified instruments are to be cleaned of debris with enzymatic solutions and rinsed manually or by ultrasonic cleaner.
        ③ Then the instruments are to be dried, packed, and wrapped in trays.
        ④ The instruments are sterilized in an autoclave by steam pressure with an indicator strip inside the package to indicate the effectiveness of the sterilizing process.

Triple Sterilization Monitoring and Evaluation

 Only when the chemical (indicator strip), physical (autoclave data) and biological (commercial spore vial) monitoring of sterilization circle need to be qualified at the same time, will the instruments be ready for practice.

Service

Appointment is necessary for adequate consultation and treatment. After the initial checkup, the dentist offers consultative and informed treatment options and relative cost projections. Detailed instruction on aftercare following dental treatments and telephone follow-ups are also provided, if needed.

Cost

Information regarding the cost of treatments is publically available to all patients, which normally consists of skill and material costs. We charge the same prices for both locals and expats. The pricing is transparent with clear standards. We can offer receipts, Fa Piaos, and medical reports.

• ♠  Crown Guaranteed for Life

No matter if it is a porcelain-fused-to-metal crown or a full-porcelain crown, should it crack in the first 2 years, the crown will be replaced for free. Should it been cracked in the 3rd year or after, replacing the crown will only cost about 1/3 of the original price (covering the cost for the lab fee, dental impression fee, and cementing fee).

• ♠  Implant Guaranteed for Life

Should an implant fail for a reason unrelated to smoking, accident, or failure to follow the dentist’s instruction in the first 5 years, the implant will be replaced for free. Should an implant failure occur in the 6th year or after (failure unrelated to smoking, accident, or not following the dentist’s instruction), the patient need only pay for labor costs; the implant replacement and crown are free of charge.

• ♠  Orthodontics

Patients need to wear the retainer following dentist’s instruction at the conclusion of orthodontic treatment. If dental relapse occurs in the first year and is unrelated to failing to wear the retainer, follow-up orthodontic retreatment will only cost the material fee.

• ♠  Root Canal Treatment

If the pulpal or periapical infection still exists after a root canal treatment, retreatment will be conducted for free (except in a situation where the area surrounding the root has additional complications and apical surgery is needed).

• ♠  Resin Filling

If the resin filling falls out or cracks within 2 years, the resin filling will be redone for free (except in cases where the tooth with resin filling cracks as a result of chewing on hard material).
